8th KLT Topik Passers

Congratulations to all passers of 8th EPS-KLT. The exam is composed of listening and reading. The exam passers will have a chance to be employed in South Korea. Korea and the Philippines signed a bilateral agreement on the sending and receiving of workers through the Employment Permit System (EPS).

Procedure of Employment via South Korea's Employment Permit System

Employment Permit System is the only legal way through which a foreign worker could land a job in South Korea. This will provide you a guide through the EPS-KLT process.

What is EPS-KLT?

South Korea’s Employment Permit System (EPS) is a government-to-government hiring scheme for foreign workers.

Korean Language Training (KLT) is required under the EPS. Passing the test is required to be included into HRD Korea Job Roster.

First step - Registration for the EPS KLT - done and processed by POEA. Register with the Korean Language Test Registration with non-refundable fee of $ 30. It is on a first-come, first-served basis. POEA will announce the schedule of registration.

Applicants must be:

* Male or Female from 18 to 38 years old

* High school graduate with two years work experience

* College graduate with 1 year work experience

* Physically and mentally fit

* No illegal record in Korea (such as illegal entry or stay; overstaying or run-away)

Upon passing the KLT exam, applicants must submit to POEA the following requirements.

* Original copy of Medical certificate approved physically fit by Medical test centers accredited by POEA and DOH

* Colored scan of passport (clear copy)

* 2 x 2 picture (red background w/ full name tag)

* Application Form from POEA

Applicants must wait for the Results from Human Resource Department Korea. Applicants are given 2 years validity to the Job Roster. Korean employers will choose among the roster of applicants from the online list

Chosen applicant will be contacted by POEA and will be offered a working contract.

Hired applicants should apply for work visa. They will undergo another medical test, a Pre-departure Training from POEA, TESDA, Occupational Health Safety and Health Center, and OWWA.

The worker will shoulder airfares (airplane ticket), work visa fee and other miscellaneous fees.

Note: Passing the EPS-KLT does not guarantee 100-percent employment.
